Our Fourth graders will be experiencing another exciting year at SAGE Academy! We are looking forward to many fun field trips to places near and far! This semester, we will be attending a SeaWorld Adventure where we'll sleep with the sharks! Stay tuned for other field trip plans!

Social Studies is really happening this year. With our new "History Alive" program, we will be doing many hands-on activities while learning about the regions of our country, including our beloved California! We will be studying the growth of California, including our local Chumash neighbors, the mission movement, and the gold rush.

Our Math program includes 2, 3, 4, etc. digit multiplication and division, probability and statistics, geometry, measurement as well as all pre-algebra and word problems applicable to each unit.

The Core Literature based reading program is in full swing. Additionally, we are working on content area, reading comprehension topics, as well as book reports and vocabulary activities.

With the adoption of the "Write Traits" program, students will be learning about the five important traits of writing and how to incorporate these traits into their writing assignments. We will also be working on several poetry projects. Spelling and grammar activities are also included in our Language Arts program.
